Book Club: The Trouble With Chickens

In this Book Club, we will learn new vocabulary and practice “reading between the lines.” We will discuss ways readers use their own knowledge and experience to help them understand what the author is describing while reading The Trouble With Chickens by Doreen Cronin.

Students must be able to comfortably and independently read this text, which is a Lexile 570. If you have questions about whether or not your child is suited for this group, please reach out.

Days: Tuesdays AND Thursdays

Time: 9:30am-10am

Dates: January 23-February 29 (12 meetings)

Ages: 7-9

Location: Ruckersville, VA (address provided after registration)

Registration deadline: January 18

To reserve your spot in the class you will need to pay a $10 deposit. You will receive an email confirmation as soon as you submit your order. After your registration is received, you will be sent the address for meetings and an invoice for the remaining amount. The full payment is due 4 days before the first meeting of the Book Club.
